Why do you push people away? Sometimes God will send us someone to love and we push them away because we don't know how to receive it. For many of us this is “normal” but it isn’t necessarily God’s best for us. Pastor Steven Furtick shares from Genesis 3 where God created Adam and Eve to be unashamed of who they were. They felt no need to hide from each other because they felt no shame.

But after being told lies by the enemy they ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Their eyes were opened to the ugliness of sin and shame. Their first response was the same as yours and mine -- they hid from themselves and from God.
