We will be looking at the Holy Spirit in the ministry and teaching of Jesus. First, we need to know that John the Baptist, who came expressly to introduce Jesus and prepare the way for His ministry, introducing Him under one particular title, "the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit."
"I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I'm not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. (Matt. 3:11)

This is the distinction between Jesus and all the men who had come before Him: "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire." This ministry of Jesus as Baptizer in the Holy Spirit is mentioned in all four Gospels. The scripture places particular importance on it.
