The Holy Spirit's power rested on Jesus, manifesting itself through visible wonders, signs, and miracles. Similarly, when the apostles were given power, God confirmed their messages through signs and wonders. Today, more than ever, we, as the Church of Jesus, require the power of the Holy Spirit. We live in a time where people really want to see signs and marvels in order to believe, and those who believe must hold on to their beliefs without faltering. The Holy Spirit is the one who gives the power of God to each individual believer. The Holy Spirit's function in the believer is to take God's property and make it ours. As their birthright in Christ, the children of God have access to all of God's multifaceted power. However, by the Holy Spirit's activity in us as individuals, all that pertains to us as our inheritance in Christ get ours in real and practical ownership.
