This song has been 5 years in the making.. we started it as we were working on our second album. We wrote the chorus but could never get the verses and bridge right. Then, I was in England working on this record with Matt Hales (Aqualung), I had actually played him two other songs and I’ll always remember his comments...he said, “You’ve written the same song three times.” We did a mash up of sorts and in turn ended up with this - a deeply personal confession of a song - control. -j
